Oppo F1 Smartphone With Surprise Package Under 15K

After a long-run with premium and high-end phones, China’s renowned tech-giant, Oppo seems to be moving towards the entry-level segment. The company has gone into the sub-15k category, and is posing some serious threats with its all new camera centric device, Oppo F1. Crafted with metal, the latest beauty incorporates decent specs and a camera that promises sharp and colour rich images, even in lowlight conditions. It boasts a wide aperture and some mind-boggling camera features that you’d have never seen or used before.

However, it is quite disappointing that despite bringing a perfect balance of performance and looks, Oppo F1 fails to feature on the budget phone hit-list of 2016. The device has got all qualities of a premium “flagship”, and is hitting out a tempting price tag of Rs. 15,999!
Premium metal body- A design hard to ignore

The design of Oppo F1 is a real gift from the Chinese tech giant. The phone looks unique from all angles and flaunts a perfect form-factor with anodised aluminium on the back and curved glass on the front. It ships at an exemplary price bracket, and sits proudly among the best crafted budget phones under 20k. What else you’d expect from a 15k phone? Design, performance, camera quality, Oppo has got everything covered in that sleek and light selfie-focused.

In fact, it is also important to note that Oppo has created a perfect persona of Apple’s lustrous and eye-catching Gold and Rose Gold finish. The phone feels really soft while carrying around, and offers full value for money!

Display with 2.5D arc

Just like Moto G3 and all other players, Oppo F1 also sports a 5-inch HD LCD display, and that too protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The display of this handset looks a little weak, but offers a picture-perfect visual experience in real life. The colours are vibrant and punchy, viewing angles are perfect, and sunlight legitimacy is also right on the mark. In fact, while playing games and watching videos on this handset, I didn’t witness any issues with detailing or brightness. The masters OnePlus X and Moto X Play will give better full-HD display, but if you’re a standard user with a budget in mind, this screen wouldn’t hurt at all.

Powerful hardware for seamless work and play

The crisp display of Oppo F1 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Octa-core 64-bit processor, Snapdragon 616. It runs at a whopping 1.7GHz, and pairs up with 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU for seamless gaming and multi-tasking. So far, it’s the best mid-ranged chipset from Qualcomm, which, unlike its predecessor “SD615”, delivers top-notch performance without any snags or unexpected stuttering. The chipset was announced by few months back in December 2015!
In addition to this, it is also worthy to note that the benchmark performance of Oppo F1 was really impressive. The device scored 3048 points in Geekbench 3 testing, which is almost the double of what Moto G and other mid-range players scored. Even games like Trials Frontier and Asphalt 8 ran smoothly without any lags!

Oppo’s custom skin Color OS has been upgraded to version 2.1 with a bunch tweaks and customizations. Now, it runs on the top of Android 5.1 Lollipop, and promises a faster, better, and steadier user experience with optimized scenes, shorter app launch time, and 30% faster boot speed. Throughout our testing phase, our experience with the UI was pretty good, and we didn’t notice any issues or software glitches. There’s no app-drawer this time, but Kudos to Oppo for managing it effectively!

Prolific Camera Performance

Like we said, camera output is the biggest USP of Oppo F1. On the back, the metal beauty bears a 13-megapixel phase detection autofocus shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It makes clear, crisp, and lifelike images in dull conditions, and endows a perfect package for on-the-go photographers, just like Moto G3 and all other players.

However, the biggest surprise sits on the other end. Oppo F1 bears a prolific 8-megapixel front-facing snapper with an aperture as wide as f/2.0. It’s vibrant and true-to-life selfies set new standards for selfie-focused devices, and feature fine details, even from a far off distance.
Oppo has also upgraded its “Beautify” feature for capturing selfies with more brightness and details. It enhances image quality to perfection, and removes blemishes and wrinkles with complete accuracy. Other camera features on this phone include “screen-flash”, “wave to click” and much more!

Connectivity Options

On the connectivity front, Oppo F1 brings all essential options such as, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro-USB 2.0. The device delivers blazing download and upload speeds on 4G, and gives a prolific user-experience with a bunch of sensor such as, Distance sensor, Light sensor, G-sensor, and E-compass.

Power to Play- A big battery under the hood

Despite featuring a slim and sleek profile, Oppo F1 packs a humongous 2500 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging capabilities. The dual-SIM based phone offers sufficient juice for seamless work and play, and packs a strong punch against all players in the game. In fact, as per Oppo, the battery bundled with this handset will give you at least full day usage with several calls, gaming, and multi-tasking throughout the day.

To sum things up, we can say, Oppo F1 is an absolute bang for the buck deal in the sub 15k category. This device has got a plethora of new features, and can easily give renowned tech-giants a run for their money. Its super smooth performance, stunning form-factor and majestic camera output are the key features of attraction for all budget buyers.

If you’re looking for a phone with good looks and affordable pricing, no other option can go better than Oppo F1. No massive expense on your head, and you get a device that looks just like a younger iPhone in rose gold, premium and reliable!
